At the Plea Bargain Conference, Judiciary's Technical Advisor, Andrew Khaukha, received the Person of the Year Award from the Global Justice Programme.

The award given to an individual in recognition of their contribution to a cause.Last year's award went to the Hon. PJ, Dr. Bamwine.

The award is in recognition for giving support to the Hon. the Chief Justice,Principal Judge, their Lordships, Worships and coordinating JLOS institutions in roll out of plea bargaining in Uganda's criminal justice system.

Prof.Jim Gash, the Programmes Director of the Global Justice Programme at Pepperdine University said, "Andrew is passionate and has been the hands on person for the roll-out of Plea Bargaining Countrywide."
